Stainless Steel 347 / 347H Nuts

Stainless Steel 347 Nuts are austenitic stainless steel products stabilized with columbium to provide corrosion resistance. These fasteners can withstand temperatures in excess of 800° F. The chemical composition of these fasteners is similar to 304 stainless steel, except that the addition of niobium suppresses grain boundary chromium carbide precipitation. This results in a stronger, more durable alloy that performs well in environments up to 1500 degrees Fahrenheit.

347 Stainless Steel Nuts is austenitic stainless steel that contains chromium (17-19%), nickel (10-14%), and molybdenum (2-3%). This combination creates a low-carbon alloy that has excellent corrosion resistance. They are also very flexible and have high ductility. They can withstand high temperatures without cracking or discoloration. ASTM A194 SS 347H Nuts is a controlled carbon stainless steel alloy developed for increased creep resistance and strength at temperatures above 1000 degrees F. SS UNS S34700 Nuts is also more resistant to chloride pitting and general corrosion than 304L stainless steel and has a higher temperature toughness. This material is recommended for parts fabricated by welding, which cannot be subsequently annealed. It also has good low-temperature toughness and high resistance to stress-creep rupture. It also has excellent oxidation and intergranular corrosion resistance up to 1500 degrees Fahrenheit and is non-magnetic in the annealed condition.

AISI 347H SS Nuts are used in various industrial and commercial applications. Alloy 347 is a stabilized stainless steel plate that offers excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion after exposure to temperatures in the chromium carbide precipitation range from 800 to 1500degF (427 to 816degC).
